How soon can I start working?

Current job openings and availability change on a daily basis. Once you have completed our application process, you will be considered based on the preferences you noted and the skill sets you possess. We will be in touch as applicable positions are available.

What is involved in the application process?

You will need to come to our office to fill out an application. You will be asked to provide complete work history information, criminal background information, preference of shift, type of work you are seeking and your preferred work location. Before the application process is behind you, a pre-screener must be completed.

After the application is complete, you will be interviewed by a staffing manager. In the interview, you will have the opportunity to discuss what vocational skills you have and what you are looking for in your next position. The staffing manager will discuss not only what specific skills you have, but also find out more about your experiences in job-related settings.

Once you have completed the interview, you may be asked to do some computer testing to determine skill levels for office and professional positions.

Meador does reference checks with previous employers and other references provided by our applicants. Once this process is completed, you will be offered jobs based on all the factors of your interview process and the requirements of our open jobs.

How often should I contact your office after an interview?

Meador has an availability line; applicants are encouraged to use this line to maintain availability. You will be asked to leave your name, phone number and what type of work you are interested in. While we realize that it is not always convenient for you to check in on a daily basis, we do encourage you to stay in touch with our office so that we remain aware of your ongoing availability.

What if I am not interested in a certain position when it is offered, is it okay for me to turn it down?

Not every job is going to meet your expectations. If you are not interested in a position, you should feel comfortable to decline. We will continue to offer positions to you based on your skills and preferences and work hard to ensure a win-win situation for both you as the applicant, as well as our clients.

What if I am on an assignment and decide it is not for me?

We realize that not every job is a good fit for you, and sometimes you do not know that until you have tried the position on for size.  If you are on an assignment and find it is not going to work for you, we ask that you contact us immediately. You may be asked to stay at an assignment long enough for us to find a replacement, but we will attempt to remedy the situation as quickly as possible. As with any interaction, communication is essential to everyone’s satisfaction.

We expect open communication from our field employees and they can expect the same from Meador.

What do I pay for your services?

Our services are provided at no fee to applicants.

How can I stay informed about open positions?

Some of our positions will be posted on our website. We also maintain a “hot job” line with a listing of positions we are currently filling. These two locations will list a portion of the jobs we have open, but are not necessarily a complete listing, so it is essential that you reach out to a Meador office to learn more.

When I am on assignment with a Meador Staffing Services client, who is my employer?

Regardless of which Meador client you do work for, Meador is your legal employer and you should contact a Meador representative with any work-related issues.

How long does an assignment last?

Assignments may range in length from a few hours to an indefinite amount of time.

What should I do if my job duties are different than those that were described to me?

Please notify a Meador representative immediately.

What should I do if my assignment has ended?

Be sure to let Meador know when your work assignment has ended so you may be considered for a new assignment.

What is the policy if I’m unable to report to work or will be late?

You must notify Meador Staffing Services immediately if you will be tardy or unable to report to work. We have a 24-hour service so you can reach us anytime, day or night.

When should I submit my timecard?

Timecards must be in your Meador office by 5:00 p.m. on Fridays. If your timecard arrives late, you will be paid the following week.

What should I do if I am injured while on assignment?

If an accident occurs and you are injured while on the job, notify your supervisor and Meador immediately! Meador will direct you to the preferred medical facility if medical treatment is needed. An accident report must be completed within 48 hours of the incident. Failure to comply may mean delayed or nonpayment of workers’ compensation benefits.

Am I eligible for benefits through Meador?

These benefits are available for purchase by an employee for themselves, employee and spouse or employee’s family though payroll deduction.

What is the Referral Bonus program?

Referral Bonuses are paid to any Meador employee (currently working) who refers an applicant and that applicant completes 80 hours of work. Make sure your friends and family mention your name when applying! Refer a friend and receive a cash bonus.
