Welcome 2009!

2008 had ushered in the 40th year of Meador Staffing Services and we spent the year in celebration. And always, we were aware of the significance of the number 40. Forty is a number used by God and seen throughout the Bible--usually as a time of probation or waiting...as with Moses and Noah and Elijah.

In his recent Christmas message to our employees, Ben Meador, CEO and Founder of Meador staffing had this to say: "When you reach your 40th birthday, your testing time has ended. You have passed the probation stage and are now ready for greater things. If you have been married for 40 years your love for your mate has deepened and matured. If you've been on the job for 40 years, your company knows what you are capable of doing. If your company has been in business for forty years your company is accepted by a host of customers and the entire community.

"So, there you have it. We have passed the test; we have been rendered worthy and prepared for greater challenges. There is not doubt we will meet every challenge."

As our world moves into 2009, we draw inspiration from our faith and truly believe better days are ahead even in the face of a difficult economy, personal pressures and a world at war. As always, the dawn of a new year is a time when we are reminded that God is with us in good times and times of difficulty. We can derive inspiration from that fact.

Each New Year beckons us to take the opportunity to express thanks for your friendship to Meador Staffing and for your commitment to our organization throughout our 40 year history.

There is enormous potential in the year ahead to manifest the real promise that exists for meaningful change in our lives, around our nation and throughout our world. 2008 should motivate us to make 2009 the year we redirect our priorities--insist that people are more important than things and reconciliation and the restoration of peace more important than anything else.

As we begin 2009, we're not just turning the page on our calendars, we're starting a new year full of promise and new opportunities...a future and a hope.
